    Karen,

Thats the funny thing.. she's been pooping... well not her usual amount, but a little bit... shouldn't be anything coming out if there is nothing coming in. She let me rub her tummy when I checked out her incision. She didn't whine or whimper to the touch. Sadie is not a dog that hides pain. I called the emergency vet tonight and they said to try chicken / rice. I did that. She ate two small bites and nothing more. I am so worried. Is a week too long for her not too eat?

If her energy level is normal, she can probably wait and see the vet tomorrow morning. Is there a chance she's finding other things to eat? Are her poops dark or light? Firm or soft? The vet may ask. She should really be eating by now. As long as she is drinking, you don't have to worry about her getting dehydrated, so that's a good thing.

Other than her dogfood being left out, there is no other food that she can get into. She seems to be her normal playful self... she's been trying to get hubby and I to play fetch, but we haven't since her surgery (don't want her running)... she is drinking water just fine. Her urine is light yellow, so she doesn't seem dehydrated. Her stool is medium brown and solid, no diarrhea. Will definitely be calling the vet in the morning.
