If you have a gas assisted hob: remove the round metal plates of the burner, spreat foil on top of it. Pierce the foil where the passage of gas flows, place the plates in place. After you fry and mess it really badly, just throw away the foil and your hobb is clean again

For electrical hob you just have to work around the plates

For a ceramic hob.....I'm afraid you can't use it.

Always check with your manual if you can use foil. Some brands just tell you not to use it since the heat travels more on the surface.
I don't let any people near my hob, so you will have to imagine what kind I have.

    Thanks!

Thanks! After I wrote that I googled it. I guess I have always had a stove and oven combined. I need to get out more.
