If people spayed and neutered their pets, and were responsible owners, these dogs wouldn't have become feral. We will likely never learn who was responsible for letting these dogs lose to "fend for themselves," as those are not the type of people who would care enough to microchip their pets in the first place. Tragic all around.

I saw this story on video. The dogs looked like they could have been normal family pets if given proper care. What a shame. This is a terrible story.

Rest in Peace Lothar and Sherry

My Sunny was born in a rescue (thank God) in Alabama when her pregnant mother was pulled from a high kill shelter. I often think about what would have happened if she was never taken off the streets and put in a shelter where she was afforded the opportunity to be "rescued". Her puppies would have been born in the wild and may have become amongst the "wild feral dogs" in the South. I am so grateful Sunny was given the chance to only know the life of a loved pet. Her mother was also adopted and is living a great life in Massachussets. She is coming to meet Sunny this coming Monday
