Had the family meeting with Roger's oncologist yesterday.

Ok, we know: It's non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. It has not spread outside the abdomen, and we are grateful for that. It does affect the colon, mysterium? (abdomen area), and abdomen. It's intermediate grade, a Stage II, which means it is localized in the lower part of the body, but still affecting an organ outside of the surgical site...that is, the abdomen, I think Dr. described.
Either way, chemo will begin next Tuesday...a 6-hour visit, as a number of drugs are infused the first time. Roger has to get through Monday's port installation, and then, the journey begins.
Dr. says this bowel lymphoma is still the better one to get...It is 80%-90% curable.

We just received word that Roger's stress test from last Friday shows some 'issues', and anesthesiologist will not do Monday's surgery without a heart cath! That will be tomorrow morning.
Roger is one frustrated guy right now, sick of tests and procedures. Please pray hard for his spirit. The port will go in on Monday, as of now.
