But I'd say to just drop a 'hint' and let it go at that.
Maybe something like:
* Everyone is invited to share picnic food at the #7 Pavilion next door.

Most of the semi-regular "Locals" *DO* bring something when they arrive.

Time: Most start to arrive around 10:00 am and some don’t leave until the street lights come on.

Everyone is welcome to come to Pavilion #7
(The one in front of the dog park)
and share in some picnic food!
