Great to hear about your progress to the "boot". Wishing you better healing than the 'experts' ever dreamed of. (They've been wrong before. )

Thanks everyone it sounds funny but I can't even imagine walking again. The only thing that concerns me is that it does still hurt sometimes, not often but at times and when I try to bend my toes a few of them don't seem to work correctly but who knows that might be where the screws are.

It never really hurt that bad except the first day but its just been really a hard thing to go through because of the inconvenience.

Well the cast came off and the boot went on. I still can't walk on it or put weight on it for a month but he said it is healing nicely and the screws are intact.

He said I can go back to work, I will have hubby drive me. At least I can take the boot of to sleep and shower. Frankly I don't even see the sense of the boot if I use the knee walker but whatever I guess it will protect it.

He also gave me elastic bands to do resistence training on my foot.

    Oh Happy Day!!

It'll be great sleeping without discomfort! I know, when I slept in a certain position, I did feel slight pain, but then, it sure was easier to switch around! I felt like a toddler when I started walking again. It was so funny and strange. I was allowed to walk with the boot a little bit (and of course I took it to the extreme ). It took a while for my foot to look and feel normal again, but it's great news that the doc is satisfied! Onward and Upward! I'm very happy for you!

It was really great going back to work this week. I never imagined I would feel like that. Thanks to Arnie I am off today but that was almost a blessing I was worn out.

Most of my coworkers had a hard time not laughing at my knee walker because I squeek when I walk on it.

It felt good to come home worn out though. Its funny when you are away your brain gets stagnant, I had to have several passwords reset several times

My doctor said the boot is more for protection than anything so at home I don't wear it, its annoying.

My next appointment is aug 6th and at that time I will get the green light to walk again, most likely like a toddler but it will be great.

I have a funny story, I have been walking a little on my heel, my doctor said this would be okay. Well I waited until it was exactly 2 months post surgery before I started doing this, so that was July 26.

Anyway this evening I was riding my knee walker out to my car at work in the parking lot and the stupid thing broke, a car was getting ready to back up, I got scared they wouldn't see me so I picked the walker up and carried it to my car all the while limping on my heel with my huge boot thing on

I returned the piece of junk knee walker to walmart, it was 400 dollars, and I had hoped to be able to sell it after I am healed but it broke in many areas, tonights being the show stopper.

I go in Thursday for xrays and hopefully the green light to walk again.
