I rushed home and got to watch the last 9 laps, and I guess that was better than nothing. Still peeved that I couldn't find it on the radio for the drive home. Drove like a bat out of Hades hoping Mark was still in 1st or 2nd when I got to the TV. ESPN Radio was broadcasting a friggin' baseball game.
I'm with you Richard, all of this channel changing is annoying as all get out. At least when it was on Fox it was usually on Fox. My parents don't have cable but at least they could watch part of the races until they left for church.
A bit off topic from NASCAR, but.....
Please say a prayer for Felipe Massa (f-1 driver for Ferrari).
He was hit in the head by a spring from Reubens Barichello's car during qualifying, went into a barrier at high speed, and is under medical sedation for multiple skull fractures.
The one eyed man in the kingdom of the blind wasn't king, he was stoned for seeing light.
John Surtsees' son was killed in the same manner not long ago.

Not a good week for racing.
Surtees's incident is most likely what lead to the suspension of Renault for the next race.
Fernando Alonso's pit crew didn't properly replace the tire on the car during a pit stop and it came off on the track.

The worst part about the incident with Massa was that F-1 kept replaying the incident over and over. The in car cam on Massa's Ferrari caught the whole incident, from the spring hitting him, Massa losing consciousness, Massa coming to briefly, hitting the brakes, then hitting the barrier. They ran it in slow motion couple times, it really reminded me of the Theisman injury on MNF.
(For those who don't follow F-1, the feed broadcast on Fox and Speed here in the US is F-1's race feed with Speed's announcers calling the race. They talk about whatever Bernie's boys are feeding them)

Did you see Tony Kaanan catch fire after having fuel spilled on him? That was scary as well. All reports seem to indicate he is fine.
Another top 5 for Tony! And how impressive Joey, coming from dead last, battling it out with JPM, and finishing 12th!
Too bad Denny and Kyle had such a rotten day finishing 34th and 38th, Mark was a very unhappy man.
I have to say, watching it in person is much more fun than watching it on TV. The cars just go by too fast to see any more than a blur...200 mph, no wonder they're just a blur
Yep, we were there (we really missed you Amy), had a blast and wow what a gorgeous day it was! We did lots and lots of walking. If you ever go, don't wait to pick up your tickets there and by all means....get a parking pass!!!
As usual I took WAY too many pictures, but if you'd like to see them here's the link:

And I'll upload a few here.
Huney, Bon & Simba-missed so very much
