No mention of previous job experience, no Law degree required, not even a mention of education.
I made no comment on requirements to be a representative.

That's correct, you didn't. However you listed all the positions Senator Murphy had held, as if to imply he was better qualified because of his work history. Not one of those positions matter a whit to the Constitution.

The very one. He has a TV show, on FOX, and a radio show, also.

Thats pretty typical for Beck when people call in and read off talking points but lack any real information.

Anybody else notice that the uploader of the audio was www.typicalnegroes.com?

If you want really good melt downs listen to Ed Schultz.

I in no way mentioned or implied that Mr Franken was either fit or unqualified to hold public office.

You tried to minimise, and possibly insult, Mr Murphy's accomplishments by calling him a "song and dance man" when he was clearly much more. Where as Mr Franken is first and fore most a very talented satirical comedian, comentator, and writer. Ild include politician to that list but Ill wait and see how his satire helps his new career. I do have to commend Franken for his work with the USO over the last 10 years.

Where did I say that being a song-and-dance man was a bad thing?

You asked the question whether it was sad or ironic that a comedian is now a senator - (I would consider that to be just as minimizing/insulting as you seem to imply I have been toward Senator Murphy).

You didnt answer the question though, you redirected then like you are redirecting now.

ETA: TO answer my own question I think its ironic as most politicians are a joke, and Franken might actually do a better job then most of them.

Jello Biafra once ran against [EDIT]Quentin Kopp[/EDIT].

Biafra has expressed irritation that these parts of his platform attained such notoriety, preferring instead to be remembered for serious proposals such as legalizing squatting in vacant, tax-delinquent buildings and requiring police officers to keep their jobs by running for election voted on by the people of the neighborhoods they patrol.

  12. Senator Lindsay Graham apologized to a candidate for the Supreme Court.

For what?...for the pain of being called out for membership in what could be perceived as a racist organization. Apologized to him and his family for enduring such a thing.

    Was it Sonia Sotomayor?

Of course not....it was Samuel Alito.

    Now that is irony!

You can see it on the July 16 Jon Stewart Daily Show.

Question: So is it ironic or sad that a proffessional comedian is now a senator?

Answer: No better, nor worse, than a song-and-dance man as Senator (George Murphy, R-Ca.).

There where 2 choices in my question, you choose to redirect instead of answering. I didnt ask if it was better or worse that a comedian was a senator now did I?

Now this leads me to wonder if Mr Franken is the first proffessional comedian to hold a seat as a representative?
