Assault on Sotomayor? The softballs they are lobbing at her hardly classify as an assault. Has she actually answered any of the questions, or has she talked her way around all of them? All I saw was alot of rambling non answers.
She doesnt understand the difference between self defence and vigilantism, her rulings on the Second Amendment show she doesnt have a clue what a Federal Right is. She made a sexist, racist comment a few years ago that she stands by today. A discrimination case she ruled on is heading the the SCOTUS, the rambling and stammering about that would drive anybody nuts. She couldnt or wouldnt answer questions about abortion.
I guess I shouldnt be suprised some people would be easily impressed.
What the heck is Franken doing on the pannel anyway? Why are they even having a confirmation hearing for that matter, are they just going through the motions?
ETA: SCOTUS Justice Clarence Thomas got raked over the coals by the media, the same media that is dismissing and ignoring anything negative about Mrs Sotomayor. Is it OK to question the character of a Black Justice but not OK to question the charcter of a Hispanic Justice? Is it possible the media is pandering to the POTUS and hispandering to a racial group for ratings?
