How sad. From what I read on the Internet news it looks like he was just getting established in his post-football career. Very sad.

I heard them talking in the pre-race show on Sirius about Tennessee Titan, but I missed who. Wow. That is sad. He was a talented QB.

There's going to be a press conference at 9:30 Central. McNair had several gunshot wounds and the young woman with him had one in the head. Autopsies tomorrow.

I'm guessing it was a murder / suicide by his female friend. She probably shot him several times then shot herself in the head. Very sad and senseless.

I'm thinking that you just may be correct. Either way, if he'd been home with his family, that the news keeps reporting that he loved so much, he would still be alive.

I didn't get some of the terminology in the article- "captain"? WTFIT? - but I see the point.

I am finding it harder to be 'sad' about famous people who wrong place/wrong time themselves into the ether.

There are the athletes who check out way too soon struck by some bolt from the blue. Then you have a situation like this.

I always liked Mc Nair. He was a classy player and never a jerkwad.

Now, he wrecked my idea of him. He was not an idol, icon or hero to me. He was a guy that showed up for his job and tried to do it well.

    I was entertained.

    ----------

Now, I hear about stuff like this and I just shrug my shoulders.

    What was he thinking?

    OK - a Raven's fan checking in.

McNair was ... a breath of fresh air when Baltimore needed it. However; when his first season with us was done - he was done.

I'm very sorry this happened. He didn't deserve it.
