Yean, I ragged on her too, she deserved it-she played the Loretta Lynn card to the max and all the Fems bought into it.

They tried the same thing with that little hottie, Chelsea and people were offended, so much they backed down because the Clinton's knew everyone in Hollywood and since the HW is soooo PC.......

    ---------------------

Hillary stuck by Bill because it was in her best interest-I'd like to see the next politico resign for "no good reason" like SP did.

Not to get ridden out on a rail because they couldn't keep it zipped.

Sanford is the worst kind of Cheating AH there is. They come home, genitalia in hand, because they got busted.

His wife knew about it and she was surprised that he disappeared in Father's Day?

"I don't know where he is?"

    Naked Hiking the Appalachian?

Please, do not offend my senses by claiming ignorance.

    --------------------------

To quote a raidio 'Dr." that I loathe, yet listen to from time to time?

Give your husband something to come home to, and you will never have to worry about him straying.

Of course, you have to find the hubbie (Wifey too!) that has a little moral character, not some lying AH that nevr had sex with that woman.

I do see your points, but I come back to the viciousness that she was treated to.

Chelsea Clinton was not a teenage/unwed/whore mother, like Palin's kid is supposed to be.

Little hottie - Chelsea was all of 12 years old when she moved into the White House. I thought she was homely - all that curly hair. You must have been wearing strange glasses to call her a hottie?

Perhaps she should have thought of all that before accepting McCain's offer? I don't think it was any worse that what others have been subjected to.

Bristol Palin is a teenage, unwed mother - she admits it and flaunts it on the cover of PEOPLE. I have not seen the other word used about her. Maybe Chelsea was raised with a different value system?

From my favorite scene in the Blues Brothers. Remember the look of outrage on the dad's face and his daughter snickering about it?

LOL, If I send you my password to Desperate Singles, will you pick out my next GF? Please!

Now, my comment was offensive! It's in the same vein. CC turned into a pretty good looking gal - I'd keep my daughter in a plastic box under my bed if I was the president.

I think that we can agree on the fact that kids should be out of bounds for the media, comics and all the other rude commentators.

But when it comes to the adult sex scandals? Bring it on!

Being a politician takes some brass ones.

I'd give 50 dollars to see what SP packs.

Of course, It would not be a campaign contribution, look at it as a personal appearance fee???

My big thing about her resignation is the lame duck excuse. GMAB.

What would it be like if every lame duck elected official quit 18 months before the end of their term? Maybe better - maybe worse.

Let's see now - GWB would have left in July of 2007 - giving us Cheney. (The thought sickens me.) Many Governors are term-limited. So why bother running for a second term if that will be your last? And why bother running at all?

THe good things I can see from Gov Palin's resignation are, no more BS news stories about her and her family, the states business can go forward without anymore BS ethics charges eating up state funds, time, and integrity, and she might be able to more for Alaska and disabled children as a private citizen then as a public servant.

Then again if the lefties and media think she is still a threat, even as a private citizen, this might not be the end of the BS news stories, attacks, and ill will jokes about her and her family.

Maybe she'll join the Alaskan Independence Party and work toward secession from the Union rather then go down in flames with the rest of yall.

At least Gov Palin has more integrity then Gov Sanford, Sen Pelosi, Sen Boxer, former Sen Clinton, and numerous of her Republican representatives.

I just listened to SP's resignation speech

Oh my. I feel sorry for her. She just doesn't get it. I wish she would have had someone else write the resignation. She rambled on and in her usual, poorly constructed sentences. She is SO out the league. Oh well.

If you Google her speech, you can find it somewhere.... oh, let's see is I can give you the link, should you want to listen.

If I screwed up the link, it's on YouYube......

And now that I have seen the entire speech I am even more convinced. It was disjointed, cryptic - downright unintelligible at times. She looked like the "cat on a hot tin roof" - nervous and unsure. I don't know if she was using a teleprompter - if not - I would recommend one.

The poor Lt. Governor. She did not tell him of her plan until Wednesday evening. And her spokesperson was on holiday in upstate New York or the like!

Waiting for the next shoe to drop....

It doesn't appear that she used a teleprompter - not by the way she rambled on and on to the point of being incoherent!

The woman flunked public speaking 101.

I think Palin is '"done" politically. She can make tons of money on personal
appearances to the republican base. They love her. Palin is going
broke defending herself in lawsuits. She spent half a million dollars so far.

I'll bet she will stay in the media, just not as a serious political figure. IMO.

WTF is up with the stuttering bobo that shows up on my TV tube?

    Ummmm DUUHHH, Ahhhhhhh?

I can listen to any untrained speaker because I want to hear what they have to say 'off the cuff'. They speak without a safety net and are far more interesting that any person who has his hand held thru a speaking engagement.

Ummmm, when a person does....aahhhh- all his talking and thinking- ummmm
off the plexiglass of a teleprompter ahhhhh, that realy impresses upon me that the stooge cannot form a thought without having it written down for them.

I like the idea that Nancy Pelosi is a better public speaker than SP.

NP has the experience and short term memory, as her fans do, that make any comments she makes a distant memory that she cannot be held accountable for.

I met the guy who wrote "Logan's Run", great idea. we could apply it to any politician over the age of 48.

I can see the hatered for Gov Palin is still strong with many of you. If she isnt your Gov, Pipe down she dosent represent YOU!

At least she dosent have a portable tele prompter, and she writes her own speeches as governor. She has integrity, I can see why the lefties and the MSM hate her so much.

ETA: To echo RICHARD, she can at least get through a speech without umming and ahhhhhing us to death. She also dosent draw out her speches into some drawn out boring affair with pauses for applause and photo ops.
