So much for watching the game... Dodgers, 5-0 in the top half of the first!![]()
Because he is a slob, I want to knock his arse down and shave his head...I am going to invoke the spirit of my mom....
"He looks like he smells!"
Seriously?
I hate the stupidity that pro players get because they are 'gifted'.
In the early Dodger years the O'Malley's demanded 'clean cut-tedness" from the players. I remember Walter Alston and the 70's "hair wars" with some players on the team, Don Sutton looked like a friggin Brillo Pad on the mound.
I still have nightmares about Oscar Gamble and his tumbleweed!
For some reason the uni rules/fashion started to change and it's not the same anymore.
The pine tar on the helmets makes me crazy.
Baggy uni pants, like Man-roid hair, the bandana, and oversized jersey?
I can't defend any of that.....especially when the team lets one player get away with it!
I really do miss the Old Astros uniforms and want to see the White Sox play in shorts again.
And while we are at it?
Give the batters one extra strike!![]()
Isn't this nice
At last, Wakefield is an All-Star

BOSTON - Tim Wakefield was planning on taking his wife, Stacy, on a mini-vacation during next week's All-Star break.
I hope she doesn't mind St. Louis; I hear it's beautiful there this time of year.
Yesterday, the 17-year veteran was named to his first All-Star team, when Tampa Bay manager Joe Maddon selected the knuckleballer to come out of the bullpen for the American League.
"I've been a big fan of his for a long time," said Maddon. "He's having a great season and it's about time he was named an All-Star."
It is about time.
Wakefield, 42, becomes the oldest first-time All-Star since Satchel Paige was named as a 46-year-old in 1952.
My son and his wife gave the hubby and me tickets to join them at the Phillies game against the Mets yesterday. We had a great day weatherwise, warm but breezy, and the Phillies won!!! My brother works in broadcast and we got to visit the press booths before the game. All in all, a wonderful day! Here is a link to the photos that hubby took for those who might be interested.

Great shots, and it looks like you had a great time. The win was the icing on the cake too!
I took a peek at some of your other albums - hope you don't mind. The pictures of the old stone church were beautiful. They just don't build them like that anymore. Such beautiful surroundings in which to say a final good-bye.

To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.
Ecclesiastes 3:1The clock of life is wound but once and no man has the power
To know just when the hands will stop - on what day, or what hour.
Now is the only time you have, so live it with a will -
Don't wait until tomorrow - the hands may then be still.
