Man Ram did a little 'press conference" at D Stadium before a game.

He 'didn't rape or kill' anyone and he's not going to say anything else about his suspension....Great, the only think you raped and killed were the dreams of kids that wanted to be like you. MORON.

    ----------------------

They just released the results from the toxicology tests on the woman who was driving the car that was in the accident that killed Angel's picture Nick Adenhart.

She had alcohol in her system, but the autopsy was unable to determine the amount. Now, the driver who hit the car was a drunk with multiple charges for DUI. They were able to measure his BAC EXACTLY, but couldn't even get a reading on the woman?

Not saying anything about the woman, but I do believe that it's a little move by the DA's in Anaheim, to shade the case in their favor.

We can hair samples from my armpit and tell exactly what I had for dinner on Oct. 12, 2002, but they can't figure out a BAC? hmmmm.....

Raul was "the man" last night along with Chase Utley. My co-worker, who was very sad to see Pat Burrell go, said to her hubby after last night's game, "Pat who?"

    GO CAL STATE FULLERTON!

    (college world series!)

    ----------------------

What is it with the MLB teams changing uni colors every week?

I love it when the SD Padres wear the camo unis and invite all the service men to the games.! But, I was watching the clips of the TX rangers games and they were wearing red tops.......By the time I got my bearings I missed the final score!

Now that hockey is over I can concentrate on baseball.

Justin Verlander seems to be in a groove again. Pitched an entire game earlier in the week - gave up 6 hits, one walk, and won the game.

Then on Friday, Rick Porcello, our 20 year old pitcher, won his 7th game, and batted 2 - 3, with 2 RBIs.

Don't expect to see them in the World Series, but they are doing better than last year.

And the Red Sox - swept the Yankees - - and have 2 straight against the Phillies.

    Let's gang up on Pam.!

    You go first!

I thought the LADs lost yesterday when I heard they suffered a 'power outage'. Turns out the stadium lights went out and they did win....

I went to sleep on a loss!

So I see where Man Ram is now 6th in the voting for All Star outfielders - couldn't happen to a nicer guy. So who is going to be the manager - Torre? Do you suppose he would pick Manny as an alternate?

Amen! And as long as they keep the Marlins at bay, I'm happy. Big brother is a Marlins fan, so I need something to hassle him about! Last year for his birthday, I sent him a World Series commemorative mug, and I was at his house to watch the winning game with him. It was soooo sweet!

The LADs have lost 4 of the last 5...newscasters are saying it's part of the "Manny Effect"-the team may be getting wound up about his return.

    This should be interesting.

question for David P, Pam or other people from Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh fans, I have a question for you. The Cubs are playing there tonight. My dad and I have been watching the game. The camera periodically shows a beautiful picture of the city with a bridge, a building that says UPMC (or UPNC? sorry but I don't have my bifocals on!) at the top, and to the left of that building is another that is lighted at the top in sort of a yellow-orange color -- what is the lighted building? It reminds us of one here in Chicago. Dad and I are architecture buffs.

    Thanks,
    Elyse

(P.S., yes I'm one of those who would happily go on a couple dozen weekend road trips to see all the stadiums where the different teams play)
Praying for peace in the Middle East, Ukraine, and around the world.

I've been Boo'd ... right off the stage!

Aaahh, I have been defrosted! Thank you, Bonny and Asiel!
Brrrr, I've been Frosted! Thank you, Asiel and Pomtzu!

Elyse, I think you're thinking of the Gulf building. I not sure of the code, but you can look at the top of the building and tell the weather. I think if the top was blue, it meant rain an if it flashed on and off, it means thunderstorms. Orange was for fair weather. Before the USX tower was built, the Gulf building was the tallest in Pittsburgh. Like the Empire State building, it has it's own observation deck.
