Amberlee, thanks for bringing up the Pet Talker's original limerick thread! I had forgotten about that! I went back through them all and got a good chuckle out of it!

Sure. Sounds fun Here are a few written in honor of my two furballs.

    ------------------------------
    A squirrel outside
    Mouse with a fluffy tail
    Would make a fun toy
    -----------------------------
    Food dish is empty
    From our tasty midnight snack
    Time to wake Mom--Now!
    ------------------------------
    The big leather chair
    Makes a better scratching post
    Softer on my claws
    ------------------------------
    Dad bought Mom flowers
Maybe just a taste or two...
    Yummy! Salad bar!
    ------------------------------
    Howard loves catnip
    Runs around the apartment
    Now it's time to sleep
    ------------------------------
    Luna strikes a pose
    She's the prettiest kitty
    Look, but just don't touch
    ------------------------------
    A string hanging there
    Attached to mom's blue hoodie
    Pounce! The string is mine!

lvpets2002 - your girls didn't contact me but Cassie likes to play mousies in the kitchen. I think it is because they slide better on the tile. Every now and again she will bop one underneath the refrigerator and then she'll sulk until I retrieve it. She must have half a dozen but she has a couple of favorites that she plays with the most and those are the ones that seem to end up beneath the fridge. And, caffeitina, did MY girl contact YOU?! She LOVES it when we have flowers in the house. That doesn't happen often, though because I only have a couple places I can set a vase of flowers where she can't get at it somehow! Stinker. I love her to pieces.

    Cat lets you pet her
Only when she says you can:
    "Okay, pet me now."

    You leave for work soon?
Tough! I said you could pet me.
    You must pet me now.

    I'm so glad you're home!
Pet me! Play with me! Feed me!
    You are beat? Too bad.

    Cat is in charge here.
    Cat determines home routine.
    Cat's staff must comply.

    Cassie Cat and me
    Ten years together this year,
    I am glad she's mine.

I see you have a veggie lover too. My Howard thinks he's a vegan. Won't eat cheese or meat....he even refused a piece of shrimp once! His favorite treats are rasains (only on special occasions) or to clean out the bowl after Jim or I eat rainbow sherbert. And, of course, salad! My plants are all up high where he can't get them (not even by jumping), but occasionally I'll have a vase of flowers, and then Howard couldn't be happier.

    Cassie:
    I don't need cat toys.
I would rather play with things
    Found around the house.

    Milo:
    Look at my cat toys!
Kept in a basket for me,
    I play with them all.

    My dirt brown cat.
    Angel with a dirty face.
    Brings outdoors inside.

    Sleep interupted.
    Crazy cat late night attacks.
    I'm sleepy no more.

    When the cat's away
I can get my beauty sleep.
    So do all the mice!

    Your warm cat belly,
When I snatch you off the floor-
    Treat for my fingers.

    ----------

    That cat metronome
    Your tail keeps feline tempos
    Sweeping cross my face!
