    Brave and beautiful Beeker! How frightening for a duckling to be swept away by that crow, and how fortunate that you were rescued and lived to quack about it!

    Did your follow your human around or were you already imprinted to your Duck-Mom? I hatched a duck (Jerusha) in an incubator decades ago, and she would follow me wherever I went because I was the first moving thing she saw upon being born.

    Hope you POTD celebration is just ducky, dear Beeker!

    Hello there precious Beeker! Happy Pet of the Day to you, sweetheart! What a wonderful, amazing, life affirming story! Talk about being snatched from the jaws of death! What a lucky little one you were, having your soon to be forever person there that fateful day to save you! And what a wonderful, happy, carefree life you're enjoying now; definitely the good life! I just loved your video, Beeker, you and Tuwee paddling in your "pool." I guess we know who rules the roost out your way! Congratulations to you beautiful Beeker, our most deserving, extra special honoree! I hope you and your proud family...your humans and best feathered friend Tuwee, are all enjoying an fun day celebrating your much deserved day in the spotlight; that you're being spoiled to the max! And if your Mom would give you and Tuwee a cuddle and a treat for me, that's be great! Long and happy life to you, sweetheart! Thanks for the big smiles!

    And thank you Genny for sharing your story with us too. My heart broke and tears fell as I read of the tragic passing of Jake and Troy and Topaz. If you tell us the year that Jake was POTD, we can post the link to her page! What lucky ducks they were, to have such a caring and loving guardian in you!
