I am hoping to schedule a reading/signing at the local library for sometime in July. I have decided to go ahead and let the shelter have all proceeds from the sale of the book up to the day of the signing. Whatever few books I sell between now and then won't make me rich or poor.

Now, if I sell a couple hundred thousand, well ..., I may have to rethink things.
