Love them. We have learned that you should NEVER leave a guitar, key board, or wind chimes out. It's bad enough that we get a rhythm section going on the scratching posts and a string complement on the window screens, but throw in bass guitar and a key board You now have the whole band. I forgot to switch off the amps one night.
Then you get the cheering section beating time with their paws on any exposed flesh in the bed.
If you happen to have a girl that not fixed, she will be glade to do a solo rendition of her favorite song.
