Along with the former "owner" of today's Dog of the Day, your former owner belongs right beside him/her in the pet parent Hall of Shame! How cruel, unconscionable, dumping a family member off at a shelter in the dark of night, and at Christmas time no less! Well, his/her loss is your proud parent's great gain, their Christmas blessing! As they say, "a lid for every pot," and in your case Sparky, you and your person are the perfect fit! What an inspirational, heartwarming, happy ending all around! It's clear you're one much loved, pampered and cherished feathered friend Sparky, and I'm so happy that such a deserving creature is finally living the happy life! Gosh, if I were locked in a tiny dirty cage with dirty water and old food and no toys, I'd bite too!!! I hate to even think what your other owner did to make you afraid of hands.
I'm so happy you have a wonderful loving home and guardian who loves you now. No wonder you are admiring that handsome fellow in your mirror. You are making sure you are that lucky bird.
