CRAP! That's what I've been feeding mine since they were little.

What should I do? Do I switch foods? What is a good comparable food.
Any other food makes Frankie sick. He loses his hair when I tried switching to other brands...

I have fed Zoee Nutro Lamb and Rice since we got her at 3 months old and I'm currently switching Taggart to it.
Shoot, I guess I'll see what my brother is feeding his dogs again and go that route. It's a bummer because I was just so excited I could get ALL the kids food at one place. Now this will change that again.

Anyone have any suggestions as to what to switch to?
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

Look into Merricks. Its a higher grade of food & before Digi showed signs of allergies to food she loved it! It also smells pretty good too! The canned stuff smelt like stew & made me hungry

I don't think there is a huge price difference either. But so far I'm learning that cooking food on your own is stupid easy & OMG cheap compaired to what I thought it would be!!!

I bought ALL fresh ingredients & I spent about $5 for 2 weeks worth.

2 whole hens (heads n feet attached-why its so cheap) for 1.99, chicken wings 1.99 & a bag of veggies for 1.00 but I only used some of the bag as its a HUGE bag.. I froze the rest.

I used all water that was involved in cooking the food, blended everything (after sorting it all by hand), & Digi is eating 2cups worth/day! Thats a lot of food for her considering she ate maybe 1/4 cup/day if I was lucky she'd eat 1/2 cup... Now she wants food in the am too, so I'll be cooking her some rice n egg for breakfast.

I shop at T&T & other chinese markets as they always have fresh foods at super cheap prices as they don't fully butcher the birds.

I used to feed my two huskies nutro natural choice both did amazing on it until Jag got diareah. I kept them both on the food for a while but his runny stools persisted so i switched foods. He continued to have diareah for months, in which we went through 4 other brands, including 2 vet brands($120 a bag) where the diareah still kept comming. We now have them on pedigree healthy vitallity and hes better. I still like Nutro as my other dog did the best on it as well as my parents dog does the best on it, both having shiny coats, firm stools, just an all around healthy dog. We have determined that Jag has just developed a very sensitive stomach, as he will vomit and get diareah even if he has the smallest but of cooked human food, or steak bones. We can still give him raw carrots, potatoes and raw bones.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Nutro is on the bottom of the crap food scale right alongside ol'Roy. Long ago they tested positive for chemicals from suspected rendered companion animals. You think they ever changed?

I feed Honda Nutro and she's going to stay on it. She is dying, and I don't want to upset her by changing her food. Remy isn't on it. I figured I could go a bit more expensive for such a wittle dog. Lol

Why is it crap? I thought it was a good food or I wouldn't have fed it to them.
I'm willing to spend money but I want to give them something healthy.
What do you feed your puppers?
I already give them Merrick wet food but they don't like they dry version.
