Oh my goodness, how cool!!! His bib # is 2348, I think he'd get a HUGE kick out of being called Cameron's uncle! He'd even laugh harder if you shouted "Go Uncle Buck!" because thats what Cameron yells out at his races! They actually wanted to bring Cam because he has so much fun at his races, but they knew it would be mass chaos at this one.

I am so proud of him. I wish I could be there for him, but I can't stand crowds and would be having a day-long panic attack. He might be running the Broad Street Run in Philly in a few weeks with my dad.... and even that "small" race is too crowded for me to sit with my mom. Oh well, Callie and the kitties appreciate having me home with them

How exciting. Karen, you could make signs for him and place them along his route! Wouldn't he be surprised!

Completely not allowed, trust me - they have already been cleaning up the whole route, setting up porta-potties, fences, etc. for days! But I and the neighbors will watch for his bib# and WILL yell "Go Uncle Buck!" really loud! He won't have any idea what I look like, so I won't bother to bring fruit or anything for him, as it would slow him down to look for me!

Oh, dear - Kim, could you doublecheck that bib number? I went to look that up, and that one belongs to a Jean-Michel Pelletier from Quebec! With the bib number, we can see where along the race he is, and make sure to be out there for when he is gonna pass by, so I want to make sure we get the right one.

Hmmm... thats certainly not Uncle Buck! He said he'd be wearing an orange and black jesey. Now you know as much as I do!

Okay, but do get that bib number - given that with the thousands of people running, even if he was wearing a zebra-striped jersey, he'd not be the only one, and orange and black are Newton North's high school colors as well! Newton North is less than a mile from the Marathon route and very near me!

Did you know you can track his progress online the day of the race?

    http://www.bostonmarathon.org/

    and if you go here:
    http://www.bostonmarathon.org/2009/c...EntryLists.cfm

you can find a runner name or bib number - which is how I know my friend Heather isn't running this year. But her heel has been giving her trouble for the past year, so I figured she wouldn't be.

So anyone who wants to track Catnapper's son's race, you can type his bib number - which is 2324 into the Boston marathon site's tracking part tomorrow. When he's approaching mile 20, he'll be hearing us cheer! I'd go write "Go Tony" on the street in my sidewalk chalk (I am sooo tempted), but I would definitely get run over - Commonwealth Ave. is never without cars entirely - and probably arrested. And it'd be all smudged before he got there anyway, as the wheelchair racers start earlier by i think two hours, and there's a slight downhill part where we are, so they will be going as fast as they can to build up momentum for Heartbreak Hill!
