Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.

Wonderful news!! So happy that all went well. And I'll bet the girls will love having you home for a few extra days![]()
I have the patch off now and I am SO lopsided now.. LOL! Half the time, I seem to be walking sideways.. My brain is so confused, one eye sees well, one eye don't and it throws everything off. If I could see what I am doing without my glasses, I would take that right lens out of my glasses..
One thing I may have a problem with is close up when just walking without my glasses, below, things are SO blurry from about waist down... That's going to take some getting use to..
I see my regular eye doctor in the morning at 10 so we'll see what she says...

My two cents worth.
I was 32 when I had cataract surgery. Even with severe astigmatism I can see better than I ever did in childhood. I got the implants. I thought those were standard for modern cataract surgery. There is some distortion on size of objects if you use contact lenses or glasses, as much as 25% for glasses.
I can't believe your insurance won't pay for implants.
As for your lopsided ness, my doc told me the brain is wired for both eyes to see far or both near, not one of each. Right now the eye with the cataract removed is a far sighted eye. It drove me batty trying to grade papers.
Good luck with your next surgery and be and see well.
