Buddy the lab has been reclaimed by his caregivers. He was thrilled to see them! I sent him home with a collar that hopefully they will put a tag on!

The guy had just called the shelter while his wife went to put up a poster at the mailboxes, so they both got my number within minutes of each other! Buddy isn't actually their dog. They are caring for him for several months while his actual owner undergoes cancer treatment in Vancouver. They were both dreading the thought of having to add to his burden by telling him they lost his dog! I suspect Buddy will be on a short leash now, literally and figuratively!

That's good to hear. I too hope they'll use the collar you sent home with him! You'd think they'd keep a better eye on him under those circumstances. I'd about die if someone lost one of my dogs. Without dealing with cancer... Geez.
Sure is lucky he found you!

He's very handsome and looked well cared for. I hope you're able to track the owners down. Please keep us posted.

Word got out in the territory that there was a great place where he could go. That handsome guy just made his journey to the best darn dog place in the world!!

I'm so glad he was reunited with his sitters.

I missed this thread, but man...he is handsome! He's way darker than I pictured when we were talking on facebook. I'm glad you found where he came from, what a relief for those people! Wow.

I'm so glad he found his caregivers, but I was ready to tell you that everyone needs at least one retriever, Glacier.

Well, there's good news. Sure did enjoy meeting you, Buddy. Maybe next time you visit the Glacier Dog-n-Cat Family, you can bring your people with you. Visit any time cos I'd love to see you again.
