As I knew it would be a different vet from Friday I took a copy of the picture I posted here to show him. He thinks, as I do, it is healing quite well so instead of taking him in he used and prescribed a gel to be used twice daily to promote the healing process. Bob goes back Thursday to check said healing progress and we'll go from there.

ChrisH and Bob, I am glad to read that it's healing -- yaaay! Add me to the list of people who wishes I could drive you to the veterinarian's office. I hope Thursday's visit goes well.
