Yes, there are pet taxi services available in the UK but unfortunately none in my area.

For now, he will simply have to wear the cone, and I know that's no fun. Can you get him a tranquiizer to calm him down a bit so he sleeps more? 5 mg. of Valium works for Fister. I have a few times given him that at New Years eve.

I know how it is to have to dpend on others driving for you, I have the same problem. However, I have got hold of a pram my neighbors left, that I can put Fister's box in and walk him over to the vet. Perhaps you could do something similar? Borrow one from your neighbors?

Hope Bob will heal and get better soon!

Randi, yes, I too think perhaps it needed more stitches in the first place. As for wearing the cone etc he seems to have resigned himself to it and is being pretty good, in fact he was very good indeed whilst I was bathing it. Bless him.
A pram, trouble is that even if I found one to borrow I don't think I could manage pushing it up the hills, it's hard enough just walking. Good idea though, might work for a lighter load such as Ebby.

By the way, about the picture, I love that you took Fister to visit John. {{hugs}}
