Cat Haiku

[RICHARD]

Kitty face at my door
Patiently waiting for me-
It's time for dinner!

Swat, tick, bump, pa-thump
Scree, scree, WHAP! click, click, click, click-
Milk ring play, at night.

My nocturnal friend-
Why do you start play at night?
Dad, I slept all day!

[RICHARD]

Cat tortellini
Bathed in a sauce of sunlight.
Is food for the eyes.

Filou says I prefer
Temptations, cranberry treats
food for my tummy.

Uncle Richard's package
Sara's and Sallyanne's gifts
so many good things!

The best however
is to have Mom and Dad back.

Now I needed to find another haiku for Kim's and Zoe's cat gifts but I am soooo jetlagged

No more vacation.
No more dad at home for me
Dad is back to work.



I still get him on
Saturdays, Sundays, at night-
And to clean my box!!!

Deep in mid winter,
My heart is buoyed by the thought
