EVERY creature has significance in the grand schemes of life. I quite agree that Raisin should be honored: honored just for existing, and for many another reason as well.

It seems to me that there are so many ways to look at this. Suffice here to say that life is a highly improbable mystery and we are all in this together. Hence Raisin is a vital part of the web of life of which we are all of us partakers. As John Donne so eloquently wrote so long ago now:

No man is an island entire of itself; every man
is a piece of the continent, a part of the main;
if a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe
is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as
well as any manner of thy friends or of thine
own were....


And this, it seems evident to me, is true also of our beloved cat persons.
