He sure is a unique looking dog. I've never heard of a ruptured spleen. Is there nothing that can be done for him? I too am very sorry to read this.

It just means that his spleen has a small hole or tear in it. Judging by how he is till going it is probably very, very small. At this stage there isn't anything that can't be done except keeping him comfortable and happy.

I'm sorry about Blue. He is one of my favorite PT pups. He's so handsome. I hope he still has a long time with you. Such nice pictures.

Yes they can. It's called a Splenectomy as my girlfriend had it done years ago with her dog Max, due to cancer. Thankfully it was caught in time and didn't spread and Max lived to almost 14 years old. He was a German Shepherd.

IMO, I would get a second opinion and see what options are out there to help your beautiful Blue. My concern is that, right now it's a small bleed, but what if the spleen tears open more and he starts to bleed to death. I don't want to put a scare into you or put a downer on your thread, but I just can't believe there is nothing that can be done for him. Unless you can tell me otherwise.
