Got the lab results yesterday (they were supposed to be in on Sunday with me getting a phone call Monday, but it took a bit longer).
Anyway, Vita is now on Tapazole for her thyroid.this worries me no end. I KNOW so many on here have had cats take the medicine and control the condition for years. But that has not been my experience. Amber died 8 months after diagnosis, and Ruffles at 10 months after.
Vita was tested for thyroid issues 8 months back, and all was fine. So it comes on rapidly, I guess.
Now she is getting antibiotics, thyroid meds and ear drops, so she is less than pleased when she sees me approaching her.
Vita has lived with me 12 years; at the time I adopted her from the shelter, my vet "guessed" her age as "at least a year." She had not been spayed at that time, of course I got her spayed. So she is at least 13 now.
