The lips look to be in good condition compared to the rest of the face, and the hands and neck (too thick) don't look to be that of a woman. Maybe I'm just getting cynical in my old age, but I've learned to not necessarily believe everything I see.
It's still a tragic story no matter what the picture shows.
It is a prosthetic eye.
