Thanks Kfamr for the signature!
I'm so glad Ms Logan did so well at the Vets.I hope the meds heal
up the eyelid. So, will the Vet remove the lump on the 14th?

The new sirjury date is March 4. That was the original date but I didn't want to wait until the afternoon and have her caged all day. There was a cancellation so she'll be #1. That's so much better. I think she's uncomfortable (looks like a huge red pimple or sty) 'cause I've had no problem with the ointment today. She's accepting it...that is until the chase is on...![]()

I'm sorry I didn't see this before, Karen. Glad she is doing better and hopefully everything will go well on the 4th! I'm sure it will.
will be keeping her and you on our thoughts....
sounds good you both had plenty "treats"...

Sorry I missed this thread, Karen! I know exactly how scary lumbs and bumps on our babies can be! I'm so glad that it's just a tear duct infection, which can be easily treated! (((HUGS))) to you and Logan!![]()

Mz Logan had her eye surgery today. It only took an hour but she was caged up until 430p.
The doc was debating whether to operate since her infection got worse, despite meds. But she carefully thought it over and decided that an opthamologist would do the same procedure. She's a great surgeon so I trust her.
She wouldn't be able to avoid making Logan's left eye look smaller than the right one. Logie has about a 1 inch incision over her eye with stitiches. It's very swollen and she's on Rimadyl for a few days, and a antibiotic cream. The worse part is her cone head. She's gotten it off 2x already but I quickly got it back on. It's on pretty sturdy, but she was determined. She's ramming into things and hesitates doing steps. The doc took a biopsy so we hope all is OK. I've been hobbling without crutches, completely forgetting about my foot cast because my main concern is my sweet baby-boo.
I know her eye problem isn't as bad as some other ailments our pups have here, but I'm still a nervous wreck and won't sleep until next week when stitches are out and I know she's OK. It's so dumb that I'm concerned about her physical features. She has the most beautiful huge brown eyes. I feel terrible for thinking of such a stupid thing.
If you remember, please keep my booboo in your thoughts.

don´t be silly your baby´s boo boo is also something to worry about... no matter if other issues sound more worrying... anything happening to any furbutt is equally concerning and deserving of good thoughts and healig vibes...
and don´t think that your concern for her physical looks is dumb... we all think about our cuties looks...what mommy wouldn´t be
but no matter what, Mz K-Lo will always be just as cute

OF Course you are worrying about her eyes ..... they drew you to her initially. That is totally ok, and we understand, you know that
Wishing her a speedy recovery.

I'm sure our girl is in good hands now that she is back home with mom. Keep us posted on how the recovery is going. I don't envy the e-collar.Mine would have a stroke if they had to wear one.
Love you girls.

Karen I am late getting to this thread but just wanted to say how happy that I am for you that it is over and she is back with you. Too bad you couldn't have brought her into my office. My boss does these kinds of procedures all the time, but I doubt Mz. Logan would have wanted to sit still in the chair. LOL! Kisses to your sweetie from her auntie.![]()
Awwwwww.......Karen, it doesn't matter how big or how small, when our babies hurt, we hurt. There is nothing too small in my book.
I will keep sending out thoughts and prayers. Feel better sweetie pie!!!

No more lamspshade head!
The operating vet did a terrific job! Mz Klo's eyelid is still a bit red and swollen but after a few more days of medicine she should be fine. She looks almost the same, and is as happy as can be! She's been playing and running around and smiling, smiling, smiling!
We had to muzzle her only during the last stitch which was under her eyelid, otherwise she was awesome!!! She endured everything so well.
Now, if I can get more pictures...she'll be totally 100% perfect!
Thanks for your comments and prayers!
