Just thought I'd update this and let you all know that Jade passed away on Valentine's Day, Feb. 14th.

His battle is over. He's pain-free and Linda seems to be doing well. He knew he wasn't going to be around long, so while paralyzed from the waist down in the hospital, he got together with his brother and had his brother buy Linda her Valentine's Day gift. He got her a beautiful necklace/bracelet/earring set with, you guessed it, a jade stone.

Rest in peace, Jade. We love you.
