Rest in peace, handsome boy. Perhaps up at the Rainbow Bridge you and Buddy can make peace as you wait for the people you both loved.

Judging by the videos now being replayed, I suspect any Heaven for Socks would NOT contain Buddy!! But he was a great 'ambassador' in the White House, and he kept making public appearances all through his time with the Curries- he was a fantastic guy and he will be missed....... we certainly won't have a First Cat in the Obama White House, it seems......UNfortunately.......
RIP Socks-- you were loved and admired by many, INCLUDING me-- a striking Tuxedo with major Tuxitude all the way through, and a loving cat as well, to your extended family- sleep well at the Bridge-- you certainly had a long, good life---

Thank you for posting this. I felt especially sad when I read of Socks' passing because I had rescued my tuxie RB Peeka at around the same time as Socks took up residence in the White House. They had very similar markings, the half moustache and the black under the chin. Socks lived 4 years longer than my Peeka did and I know that he had a wonderful life. RIP, sweet boy.
