We've still got some time for Mardi Gras - but no one says you cannot start partying early!

Mardi Gras - Shrove Tuesday - is February 24th this year.

For Shrove Tuesday - not sure why - but we used to have a pancake dinner at the church. Pancakes, anyone?

I, for one, will resist the beads - one busted string and the orange kitty (formerly a blue kitten) will have a field day chasing beads everywhere!

As for me, in real life I am sick with a nasty cold, so just a nice cup of chai with honey, please.

My BF loves the Mardi Gras.
His past Mardi Gras parties (before we were dating) were not for the faint at heart.
I heard the woman had to show something to get those nice beads.
I'll pass on the beads but I'll have a Margarita.
I made some stuff potato skins and Nachos for the party.

Have never been to Mardi Gras and since I'm still having work done on my house (bathroom's done; YES!), I've been cooking quick and easy, so it's sloppy joes and chocolate milk for me. (I know....)
