    Ben has severe hip dysplasia. However nothing shows up to explain the rear being down. I pick him up shortly and tomorrow first thing in the morning he has an appt with an orthopedic surgeon to see about an FHO (femoral head ostomy) and tests for a bulging disc.

    I will need to learn to manually express the bladder and rectum to this evening, at the least.

    Well at least the baby will be at home.. Can the Vet help you with the Bladder & Poop Department?? I have done it with cats = but not with dogs.. I sure hope the baby is Not in Pain.. Did the Vet give him pain meds??

    Ask the Vets if a pair of "Doggy Wheels" would help him.

    Please let us know what the orthopedic says. Maybe home physical therapy for his back legs could possibly help.
