I was working full time as an assistant manager at Starbucks and going to school full time so I've decided that I'm going to stay here and finish the semester. I know that especially now finishing school needs to be a major priority so I can't afford to lose a semester. I'll finish my associates in business administraion this May and then I'm going to move to Austin with my girlfriend Alexa. In the meantime I just need to find any job to hold me until I can move to Austin.

I remembered that you worked at starbucks, is your location closing? I know they are having to close a lot of stores.

Yup, I'm Laura My location didn't close, but today 870 assistant managers were let go. I was one of them.

I know I do visit as much as I should, however, I'm in need once again.


My sweet Memaw (grandma,) is in the hospital right now. She was in ICU but they transfered her to a different hospital because she needed surgery. The most I know is that she had a colapsed artery. I don't know many details right now as this just happened last night and no one is answering their phones. I'm sitting at home sick as a dog, so I can't even go visit her.


On top of all this, my grandma is still completely heartbroken over losing her husband. She needs everyones thoughts, prayers, good vibes, etc. Please.

I'm so sorry to hear that you lost your job, Laura. Maybe you could try Petco/Petsmart? That way, though the pay isn't great, you can get a discount on pet supplies too. Best of luck to you!

Kay, I'm very saddened to hear that your Memaw isn't feeling well. I'll be keeping her in my thoughts. I hope she (and you, I hate being sick) will be feeling better soon.

my brother was just admitted to a hospital in florida! Can you please pray he's okay? Il update when I know more !

UPDATE: My brother is okay now. His heart was beating way to fast, it was at 200 beats per second and now it's slowly going down, he has to stay overnight and maybe a bit longer. I think my dad's going down to Florida to stay with him if he's staying there for a few days. They are doing tests tomorrow to see what's going on. The doctor said if he didn't come in he could have gone into cardiac arrest
