The first members, other than Karen and Paul, who are still here, are Bari_D and Freckles.
To see posts from a specific user, click on Search, then Advanced Search and type in the user name. I'm not sure whether you can search more than 300 posts back, though. If you search for a specific word, I find it's often best not type in the username. Make sure the right boxes are checked, too.
Another tip... if you search for a thread you know had lots of replies, go to the Forum (eg. Cat General) and click on "Replies". You'll then see that the threads with the most replies will be in front.
