    New to the Forum

Hey everyone! My name is Ashley and I'm new here. I have a 8 year old Lab Mix named Butterscotch. Even though she's a little on the older side, she is a bundle of energy.

    Im excited to be here

Welcome. I like your dog's name -- "Butterscotch." What breed is it mixed with, other than lab?

Hey Lexi. There's my girl. I'll post more pics once she learn that the camera is her friend. As soon as I take it out she jump all over me. Dogs

Thank you Lexie! I've had her since she was about 2 months old-ish. I got her 12/16/00, so I think she was born around October. Any clue what she's mixed with ?

Thanks. She is quite cuddly, when shes not running up and down the house smelling everything she can get her nose into.

Hmm, she looks kinda like my brother's dog Nilla, who is a Lab/Husky mix. He's got silly "airplane" ears, though. Do hers ever perk up? Does she shed heavily a couple times a year? My brother says Nilla fooled him, because he has little feet - he had no idea he was gonna grow up to be a big dog!

Yes that really describes her. Actually most of the time her ears are up, thats a rare picture of her with her ears down. And yes, she sheds.

    ALOT!

I feel like I can make a sweater based on the way she sheds, and it seems like I sweep up hair everyday. That pic was taken about 2 weeks ago, but now shes not as fluffy, she actually looks kinda...Sleek.

But the thing is shes actually not that big. When she stand up on two legs she comes up maybe 4 inches above my waist at the most, and Im 5"2'. On all fours shes about 1 1/2 - 2 feet at the shoulder.

Chow! She looks like she has Chow Chow in her! Chow Chow and Lab. And Chows are kind of small. And they shed a lot. Who agrees on my Chow idea???
She's really really cute. Congrats on joining PT!

I'm going with both Karen and Yorkie Lover. I think she looks like a Lab/Sibe/Chow mix.

Hello, and welcome to Pet Talk, Ashley and Butterscotch!!
You know, I'm not really sure what mix she is. I think I will need to see MORE pictures of her to be sure.
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!
