I really hope Malachi was the right choice and gets comfortable with us. Linda said he'll probably never be as outgoing as Phinehas, but as long as he's good with us I'll be happy.

I was a little concerned because he didn't eat any food when we brought him home on Saturday and even by Sunday afternoon he hadn't touched anything. We sat with him and Phinehas coming in and out of the bathroom all day on Sunday, so that's when it seemed like Malachi was starting to adjust a little. That tiny kitty really went to town last night though! I went to check on him this morning and he had knocked down the wrought iron candle holder and unrolled all the toilet paper! The place was a disaster! LOL I took the candles out and cleaned up the room. He also had eaten all his wet food that I had put down and some of his dry food, so that was good progress.
He's still really scared when we first go in to see him, and he tries to hide. We grab him and put him on our laps and pet him and he starts to loosen up again. I'm hopeful he'll come around.
Phinehas is interested and has only hissed a few times, but no real agression. The kitten seems interested in Phinehas and that's when he seems to really loosen up on our laps is when Phinehas is in the room. Probably reminds him of his daddy!
