    Another hairball remedy

    I tried the Petromalt too for my two devon rex cats. Was NOT a big hit. I read somewhere online, using just plain old fashioned style Vaseline. Sure I thought - - guess what, it worked.

    I did the paw bit, the chin/lip thing too. While it worked sometimes, I was always on the lookout for a little lump flung off somewhere. My 9 year old female (the one most likely to have a hairball) just loves licking away at a little scoop of vaseline on her food plate sitting right next to her food. I don't mix it in or try to cover it up. She has some dry Taste of the Wild kibble on her plate and then off to the side a dollop of Vaseline. I do this 2x a week and so far, so good.
