I wasn't exactly happy with the Guantanemo Bay closure. It's like saying, "Okay, you're free, now don't hurt us."

It's early yet. I hope most of the detainees go back to their native countries and stop sponging off the US.

Oh, and to set the record straight, I'm all for any kind of treatment if it means getting confessions. I know it sounds crude and you're probably right. But they sure as hell didn't think about OUR feelings when they flew planes into buildings killing hundreds of people.

    I'm off my soapbox now.

Guantanamo bay will go down in history as a blight on the U.S. imo, we are treating prisoners no better than why we supposedly went to Iraq(human rights). Bush finally had to concede and give the prisoners rights under the geneva convention and finally release children detained.

I agree Donna the dangerous criminals don't need to be put out on the street or released but changes should occur.

This art therapy is done in Saudi Arabia..what does that have to do with Obama?

I should have been more clear in my original post I guess. My problem is with closing GB when there is no secure plan in place to protect this country from these people who will kill us if they get half a chance. This article just points up how absurd the thought that they can be rehabilitated at all, let alone by putting their angry thoughts down on paper! This might work for kids in pre-school but honestly it blows my mind that anyone would even consider such a thing.

Yes, Caseysmom, GB may go down as a blight in history as far as human rights go. Time will tell. Don't even get me started on that, though, as unborn INNOCENT humans have no rights in this country. That disturbs me oh so much more!

This story leaves out a interesting fact. Ali- al-Shihri was released by
the Bush admin in 2007. He never should have been detained in the first
    place.

Your going to have to back that up, this is the first new story searching for Ali al-Shihri.

The men also get religious re-education and are promised a new home and car if they behave.
Um....excuse me but could someone please strap this bomb on my back??? I need a new car!
