Did they ever track down that scumbag, or is he still m.i.a.? There was no mention of that in the article, so I was just wondering if he's still on the streets.

Really great article. I was wondering the same thing though... why not mention that he is MIA. I just can't believe that they let him walk out, and just degraded the value of the lives of our pets that way.

Oh he's out there alright. After not getting any responses from the Victim's Advocate, I wrote an email to the Attorney General about the entire case and the VA's lack of cooperation. Sure enough, 4 days after he received my email, Irene got a call from Keith Wortz, the Victim's Advocate as sweet as he could be, telling her she needed to call the Adult Probation Office and they will give her Baldwin's probation officer's name and phone number. She has since filed a small claims suit against Baldwin for the 2nd necropsy and all the vet bills she's had to pay. His former landlord is also suing for $5000 damage to the apartment she rented to him.

I worked hard on that piece and hope that anyone who reads it will write to their local representatives to get the animal abuse changed in CT. Don't leave it up to the judges or prosecutors. It's obvious from past experiences the system has failed miserably.
