Thank you so much, friends. I don't know much, she called me on her cell from the barn and was understably very upset. I just know he is severely colicked, that it would take at least an extremely expensive surgery to help him (thousands), and that it is something she just isn't able to do. I just pray for some miracle, but I don't even know if he's beyond a miracle or not

I had the pleasure of meeting Jake and he was a very handsome, sweet horse, I know he meant so much to her. Run to your hearts content at the Rainbow Bridge Jake, we will miss you.

Colic is a word every horse owner fears. And I know how special you were to your mommy. I'm sure your mommy is thankful you're out of pain but gosh what a hurt she's left with.

Vela.... the tears are flowing for you. I wish I had magic words of comfort. He was a once-in-a-lifetime horse and I really enjoyed hearing about your adventures. May he live forever in your heart. {{hugs}}
