My parents used to have a house with a wood stove. They had two cats, Tiger and Ebony. Ebony, who's still with my mom, is a huge Maine Coon who will be about 13 in Feb. He used to lay UNDER the wood stove (it was on legs) and his coat got too hot to touch! On a cat special on PBS years ago there was a cat who liked to hang out in a blacksmith shop and supervise.
