What beautiful scenery, you got some wonderful pictures there. The people in post #2 (last one) seem to be very brave going out on the ice, it's looks quite thin.

The ice was 12cm thick! That is also the limit for getting permission to skate on the ice.
I miss you enormously Sydney, Maya, Inka & Zazou Be happy there at the Rainbow Bridge

    Hi Lut,
Thank you so much for your wonderful winter at its best pictures! I absolutely love winter and get some very strange reactions about it. At work they love it because if something needs to be carried to another building they know I'll be out the door taking the long route. How I'd love to be walking through those nature trails right about now.....

i really enjoyed your pictures of Ostend Dunes reserve. It reminded me
of the dunes near Castricum. I have many fond memories of time spent in the dunes. i rode my bike there almost daily. We didn't have any Ice
storms while we were there but we had frozen ponds and canals everywhere. My first attempts at ice skating came on a frozen canal near the dunes. I borrowed a chair that a local kid was using for balance. It didn't help me much though.
