Sadie May is my heart dog, and she always will be. No dog or person could ever replace that girl. I love her with all my heart, and I don't know what I will even do without her.
ETA: I mean, I've had the girl since I was 6 years old!

Yes. I have never felt as connected to or lost when living apart from any being as I feel with Niņo.

I said yes, but I believe there are more than just one heart/soul pet for each person. I believe that about soulmates for people, too, though.

This is hard for me to answer. I've loved all of my furries dearly.

Duke has been our family dog and in my life since I was two or three- a very young age. I was almost too young to be able to make memories with him while he was a young pup.

So although I've grown up with him, I think there's still going to be room for another heart and soul pet that's completely mine (I have a strong feeling it'll be a dog, too.).

Aslan on the other hand, is four years old. We still have plenty of time grow together!

out of shape and a little worn around the edges, but they fit well."
NEW ADDITION: 6 lovely Rhode Island Reds!

My RB Benny was my heart and soul. We went through so much together. I miss him terribly.

I love both of my girls very much. I have to say that Delilah is now my heart and soul and everything else I'm worth. I get teary eyed every time I think of something happening to her. She is the most loving dog I've ever known. She wants me to pet her, brush her, scratch her, or talk to her all day. She loves me so much and I feel it every minute.
Daisy is a lover too but she has her own agenda always. She isn't affectionate like her sister. It's always on her terms and not mine. She's a trip.

Interesting subject. My heart & soul dog was my Buddy.

I'll never have another like him & that makes me sad. I love both
Smokey & Maggie. They are both sweethearts, but , they aren't Buddy.

She wasn't actually my dog, but I still think of her as my heart dog. She belonged to my Aunt, and her name was Sandy. She was a Collie x Shepherd. There wasn't a mean bone in her body. There was a time when I was 12 and had moved to Florida. At 15 I went up to visit family, and by this time she was arthritic, deaf and had cataracts, but when I walked in the front door it was like an old friend had finally come home. She didn't leave my side that trip and it was the last time I saw her. She went to the rainbow bridge a few months later.

My heart and soul cat is Macgyver, my orangey boy. My heart and soul horse was Maverick, who has now been gone over twenty years! No heart and sould dogs, I love them, but not like I love cats and horses.
