This channel is really stupid.
I have to keep adjusting the color on the set....or I have to buy a new one.
Too many Viagra commercials and it makes me think about where the years have gone.![]()

OH, now I am up at three in the morning watching the MLBC..
Lovely.
My life is in total shambles now!![]()
Must turn channel.....Must sleep........Other sports on........
Root, root, root for the home team..........
Craving hot dogs......beer..........cracker jacks......must not scream out loud at games that happened years ago...........
Must not learn more baseball trivia....mind can only hold so much knowledge......
Poor Richard . . . . . and it's only January. What will he be like by July?
I was watching the MLB channel and they replayed a special that originally played in HBO.
It had to do with the series between AZ and NY!
We just had experienced 9/11, I lost my dad on Oct 31 2001 and the World Series was on.
MY dad was a HUGE BB fan, he dragged us to the games and he was a really good fungo batter!
The day the Diamondbacks won the series was the night we held his memorial and I was pleased that baseball had a little to do with helping everyone get over the pain of the terrorist attacks.
I was doubly hurt during that time, I lost my dad and the feeling of safety I had up until that crazy morning. Sounds stupid, but my dad would not have wanted it any different.
Being able to take a few seconds to distract myself from what I was feeling and what our country had been thru was wonderful. I could distract myself for a few minutes and enjoy something fun.
I spent many hours watching games with him and I remember hanging out in his front room talking and arguing balls and strikes.
He was right more that I was.
I'd look over at him and he'd smile and act like he KNEW that pitch would end in in the stands
He'd smile and say "Home Run" before the ball ever left the pitcher's hand.
I never figured out how he did it.....
When you love baseball THAT much, it doesn't matter!![]()
The sportswriters finally did it.
Something that's long overdue....
Voted Jim Rice into the HOF.
Hmmm..... Cooperstown is about 70 miles from here. Might be time to finally visit the place.
When someone like Rice, who ruled AL pitching staffs for years, almost fails to make it into the hall because he didn't play nice-nice with the idiots in the press, there's something wrong.
The one eyed man in the kingdom of the blind wasn't king, he was stoned for seeing light.
