Beautiful pictures. It looks lovely there. The cat's enclosure looks
    almost jungle like.

Are you sure you want to stay in Cal. for Christmas this year? You guys
could be hunkered down & out of the midwesten weather like we are. -18 degree wind chill.

WOW! Great pictures! I just can't phantom going to a zoo this close to Christmas... but you know what? The crowds are at the malls and stores so I would think it was a real smart thing to do. I LOVE zoos!!

In Chicago going to the "Christmas Caroling to the Animals" at the Lincoln Park Zoo was one of my favorite Christmas traditions.

And I am convinced the animals enjoy the company at a "slow" time of the year!

I too love going to the zoo but have never done so at Christmas - thank you for the suggestion Hmmmm Christmas at the San Diego Zoo sounds awfully good

We generally do something festive with friends each year: a visit to Van Dusen Gardens where the Christmas Light shows are amazing has been a tradition. This year we all met up and spent an evening at the Capilano Suspension Bridge to enjoy the Canyon Lights - it was incredible. The Suspension bridge was lit up to look like a spectacular necklace and the Treetops had sparkling stars in them - just magical

I love your photos especially the one of you - so fun!!

    Enjoy your holidays

Glad to see the SD Zoo in holiday cheer.

Btw, to everybody, the holidays are an EXCELLENT time to visit and support your local zoo. Many of them hold special events during the holiday season, especially Christmas/winter break.

FYI to Nor Cal folks: The Oakland Zoo has an AMAZING event called ZooLights. It is BEAUTIFUL. I really can't put into words how beautiful it is. Take the kids; they'll be blown away

I like to go to the zoo here when there is snow. Usually there are many animals who prefer cold weather and are really having fun- I once saw the Siberian tiger rolling in the snow like a kitty
But of course I would love to see wonderful San Diego zoo at Christmas time. Hm but Capilano suspension bridge- that also would be something.
