From the photos, it almost looks like it moves. I hope it's not a parasite! No idea what it is. I'd take him to the vet.

Best uneducated guess - cherry eye?
Either way 2 suggestions...
1) Vet, ASAP
2) Don't set a bright flash off directly, and at close distance, into a cats dialated eye, even when they don't have eye problems.

I hope you have taken your baby to the vet. Please let us know what he or she thinks. That eye looked very painful! Poor baby - I am thinking of you guys!!!
