My Gus is the same way.he doesn't like to play with anyone,but he is always jumping in bed with everyone.
and most everyone just opens their eyes in disbelief that he jumped in the tiny bed with them.
it is so funny.
i'm trying to get him to cuddle with me now more and more (which he really doesn't like to do..'humans')
but it's working...only he makes me work my but off patting him and patting him,if i stop he yells.
it's hysterical.
what a baby my gus is.
but it's better than bothering all the others all the time.
he can be a nuisance to the others.
at play time he growls too just like yours...but wants to cuddle with them later.
very strange (our kittys).

Yes Jen, I find it odd also that he wants nothing to do with the other cats except to cuddle. There is not a day that goes by that he isn't cuddling with someone, especially his favorite one, Lindy Lou.

Taz_Zoee, please don't give up hope, okay. Chipper didn't start to cuddle with RB Katie until he was over a year old. So you never know what could happen between your two.
