How beautiful! I have to echo the comment that it isn't like a house in the US. No way, no how! I would LOVE to live in a house like that.
Don't feel bad about the renos...I have lived in my house 8.5 years and am STILL 2/3 of the way through a bath and kitchen reno! I have yet to paint either one, and both have been finished for a few months.
Anyone want to help paint?

Congratulations, Jackie, it is a lovely house.How very exciting. I have always wanted to have a small house with a backyard for the dogs to play in. I think you are going to love it.
